We have created a comprehensive hands-on workshop for kids happening this summer!
In each session the kids will be in small groups of 6. The group setting is important to teach them how to work collaboratively and work with other kids’ creative ideas.
Sessions are happening on the following days:
Group 1: Mondays 4pm - 6pm
Group 2: Tuesdays 4pm - 6pm

2: collage-making/2D-thinking & creative idea-building
3: creating clay homes/3D-thinking & model-making
4: connectivity structures/experimental structure-building
5: design a bridge/basic ideas in structural-thinking
6: cardboard homes/designing with 2D elements
7: molding & casting shapes/learning about negative shapes
8: shadow architecture/transparency & light experiments
9: town streetscapes/how does architecture belong?
10: designing neighbourhoods/ideas on urban design
11: what makes a town?/bringing all ideas together & creating an imagined town!
This hands-on course/workshop is designed to explore a very wide range of ideas from all sides of architecture. Within 11 weeks, kids would gain a foundation to new ways of creative-thinking, and a freedom in new ways to explore ideas and materials.
